The list, compiled by workplace culture research group Great Place to Work Australia, is based on insights from 121,888 women and incorporates survey responses, gender representation data and information from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency.

The annual ranking evaluates employers using the Great Place to Work For All methodology, with a focus on trust, equity and organisational culture.

Rebecca Moulynox, General Manager of Great Place to Work Australia and New Zealand, said the recognised organisations are driving real impact in the workplace.

“This year’s Best Workplaces™ for Women demonstrate that true gender equity goes beyond policies—it’s about creating real opportunities for women to thrive,” Ms Moulynox said.

“These companies prove that investing in women’s success is a direct investment in business growth and innovation.”

Among the 2025 honourees are companies including carsales, Robert Half and hipages, which have implemented policies supporting pay transparency, hybrid work, job-sharing, and formal mentorship programs.

David Jones, Senior Managing Director of Robert Half Asia Pacific, said the firm’s inclusion reflected a broader commitment.

“Being recognised as a Best Workplace for Women in Australia reflects our commitment to supporting female success through professional development, equitable pay, and leadership opportunities,” Mr Jones said.

Jodette Cleary, Chief People and Culture Officer at hipages Group, said the recognition affirmed their long-standing efforts toward equity.

“This is so much more than an accolade—it’s a testament to hipages’ vision for a truly equal workplace,” Ms Cleary said.

“We are committed to fostering an environment of equal opportunity, work-life harmony, and unwavering respect.”

In the aviation sector, Queensland Airports Limited CEO Amelia Evans said progress in representation mattered, particularly in male-dominated industries.

“Aviation has traditionally been a male-dominated industry,” Ms Evans said.

“That’s why I’m especially proud as the CEO of an airport that can inspire and represent the many incredible women in our workforce.”

Key trends identified in the 2025 list include increased focus on mental health and burnout prevention, stronger representation of women in senior roles, and annual pay equity audits as part of broader trust-building strategies.
